can our church participate?

CAN OUR CHURCH PARTICIPATE

Absolutely.  Just fill out the contact form below and we will get in contact with you.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Our desire is for this weekend to be flexible.  All the big sessions are together and you can customize the rest of your weekend as you see fit. Some churches use the free-time on Saturday to serve in our community and some use it to build community.  We would highly recommend you use this as a d-now style weekend- meaning students are staying in host homes and spending time in a small group.

PRE-EVENT MEETINGS

We will have 2 big meetings with all student pastors from participating churches in the same room to go over some of the details. This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other better and to pray for our students. A lot of details will also be sent out via email.

COST AND DUE DATES

Ok so you will be responsible for each person you bring.  It is $60 per person- but you can charge your students whatever you need to- because some churches choose to do extra stuff that weekend.  We just ask that you not exceed $125 for the weekend. The $60 covers the cost of a t-shirt, 2 meals, activities Saturday night and 3 sessions.  You will need to give us an initial head count by January 15th and a final head count February 1st.  You will be responsible to pay for final head counts even if your numbers change.

REGISTRATION

You will be responsible for all registration details concerning your students and volunteers.  Just send us a link to your registration page and we will put the link up on this website.  That way you can send parents to this website to find out what ATX is all about.

TRANSPORTATION

You will be responsible for all transportation details concerning your students and volunteers.

DO I HAVE TO BRING EXTRA VOLUNTEERS?

We ask that each church provide 5 volunteers for the weekend that are not already working with students.  We need people who are available to be on site setting up, running errands, cleaning and tearing down before and after each session.  They will sign up via our volunteer page and we will run background checks as well as communicate with them dates, times, volunteer meeting, etc.

DOCTRINE & THEOLOGY

Lets make this simple. Our desire is to bring churches together under one name- JESUS.  With that being said here is what we will always stand firm on-  All have sinned and stand guilty before a holy and righteous God (Triune- Father, Son and Holy Spirit).  Jesus is the Son of God who stepped down from heaven and lived a life of perfection and died a death that you and I deserve so that we might be reconciled to God.  God demonstrated his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift from God, but it is not cheap (Jesus laid down his life for us).  It is available to all who place their trust in the promise, person and work of Jesus Christ.  That is what we are all about.
